Our Post-Operative Care Bundle is designed to provide professional, compassionate support for your pet during their recovery period in the comfort of their own home.

This service includes 2 full health assessments or more to monitor healing and overall wellbeing, administration of prescribed medications, bandage changes where required, and safe removal of stitches or staples as directed by your veterinarian.
To make the experience as stress-free and rewarding as possible, all patients also receive complimentary treats during their visit.


Delivered by a senior fully qualified veterinary nurse, this bundle aims to ensure your pet receives attentive aftercare while reducing the stress of additional clinic visits.

Hi! My name is Ale, I am a compassionate and dedicated veterinary nurse with over seven years of hands-on experience in both fast-paced hospitals and day-to-day clinic environments. Skilled in providing attentive care to a wide range of animals, from beloved family pets to diverse wildlife, I bring a calm, empathetic approach to every situation. My experience includes assisting with consultations and procedures, supporting recovery, and ensuring each animal’s comfort and wellbeing. In-Home Veterinary Nursing Services

The Happy Vet Nurse

These Terms and Conditions apply to all in-home veterinary nursing services provided by The Happy Vet Nurse. 

By booking an appointment, the client agrees to the following terms.

1. Scope of Services

The Happy Vet Nurse provides professional veterinary nursing services in the comfort of the patient’s home. Services may include, but are not limited to:

General health assessments

Post-operative care

Medication administration

Bandage changes

Suture or staple removal (with veterinary approval where required)

Basic grooming and hygiene care

Nail trimming

Ear and eye cleaning

Non-invasive dental cleaning

Anal gland expression

Pet sitting and transport assistance

General nursing care and monitoring

All services are performed within the professional scope of a qualified veterinary nurse and do not replace veterinary diagnosis, prescription, or emergency veterinary treatment.

2. Veterinary Relationship

Clients acknowledge that The Happy Vet Nurse is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian. Any pet requiring diagnosis, surgery, prescription medication, emergency treatment, or medical procedures outside the nursing scope will be referred to a veterinarian.

The client agrees to provide accurate veterinary history and disclose any known medical conditions, behavioural concerns, allergies, or risks before the appointment.

3. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

Ensure a safe and suitable environment for treatment

Restrain or assist with restraint of their pet if requested

Inform the nurse of any aggressive or anxious behaviour prior to the visit

Provide access to the pet at the scheduled appointment time

Ensure all veterinary instructions and medications supplied by their veterinarian are current and accurate

The Happy Vet Nurse reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet becomes unsafe to handle or if the environment presents a risk to safety.

 

4. Consent to Treatment

By booking an appointment, the client consents to the agreed nursing services being performed on their pet.

The client understands that although all care and precautions are taken, animals may react unpredictably and minor risks may exist, including stress, minor irritation, bleeding, or discomfort associated with routine nursing procedures.

 

5. Emergency Situations

If an emergency occurs during the appointment, The Happy Vet Nurse may recommend immediate veterinary attention. The client accepts responsibility for all veterinary costs associated with emergency treatment.

If the client cannot be contacted in an urgent situation, reasonable efforts will be made to seek veterinary assistance in the best interest of the animal.

 

6. Payment Terms

Payment is required at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods may include:

Bank transfer

Card payment

Online payment platforms

Cash (if applicable)

Late payments may incur additional fees.

 

7. Cancellation Policy

Clients are requested to provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee. Repeated missed appointments may result in refusal of future bookings.

 

8. Travel Fees

Travel fees may apply depending on location and distance from the service area. Any applicable travel costs will be discussed prior to confirmation of the booking.

 

9. Liability

The Happy Vet Nurse will provide services with due care, skill, and professionalism. However, the client acknowledges that working with animals carries inherent risks.

The Happy Vet Nurse shall not be held liable for:

Pre-existing medical conditions

Illness progression unrelated to the service provided

Unpredictable animal behaviour

Injuries caused by the pet to themselves, owners, or third parties during the visit

 

10. Privacy

Client and patient information will remain confidential and will only be used for the purpose of providing veterinary nursing services, maintaining records, and communicating regarding appointments and care.

Information may be shared with the client’s veterinarian where necessary for continuity of care.

 

11. Photos and Social Media

Photos of pets may occasionally be taken for medical records or promotional purposes. No identifying client information will be shared without permission.

Clients may opt out of photography or social media use at any time.

 

12. Service Refusal

The Happy Vet Nurse reserves the right to refuse service where:

A pet is deemed dangerous or excessively aggressive

Unsafe working conditions are present

The requested procedure falls outside the veterinary nursing scope of practice

The client behaves in an abusive or inappropriate manner

 

13. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging services with The Happy Vet Nurse, the client confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
